Established June 04, 2011, the Vermont Smart Resource Institute (VSRI) is a collaborative of energy professionals providing consultancy and cutting-edge research and development. Located in Vermont’s ‘smart energy hub’ – Vermont Green Offices – VSRI facilitates projects, such as the Vermont Smart Grid Working Group, which are dedicated to the innovation of smart grid and renewable energy technologies across Vermont.
The VSRI’s primary areas of activity are consulting, testing, and education. Among our many consulting and testing capabilities are product testing, measurement and verification, key issue analysis, and technical due diligence. Our state of the art testing facilities allow for specialized calibration of precision instruments such as pyranometers and reference cells. Our education outreach includes the development of interactive energy portal kiosk displays for small commercial buildings, a comprehensive utility university for upcoming engineers and professional development, the development of college curriculums for use at top universities nationwide, and rigorous training in data acquisition systems.
